Avici and Solomon Labs Partner to Bring Yield-as-a-Service to Spendable Stablecoin Balances
Avici and Solomon Labs are partnering to integrate YaaS (Yield as a Service) into the Avici app, bringing a first-of-its-kind experience where eligible users can earn yield on stablecoin balances while keeping their day to day spend flow unchanged.
Avici, a self-custody neobank built for everyday spending, and Solomon Labs, a builder of dollar rail infrastructure, are working together to bring YaaS directly into the Avici experience. The goal: make it possible for users to opt in to earning yield on eligible stable balances without having to move funds into a separate “earn product,” lock up liquidity, or manage multiple accounts.
Why this matters
Stablecoins have become a primary way crypto moves money. But most stable balances still earn nothing unless users take extra steps, often pushing funds into separate products designed more for saving than spending.
For many users, “earn” options create friction:
You have to unwind before you can spend. Withdrawals, delays, swaps, and top ups can stand between you and your money.
You end up managing two piles of funds. One for spending, one for earning plus the constant decision of where each dollar should live.
What YaaS changes
YaaS is built to run alongside a stablecoin balance rather than replacing it with a separate savings instrument.
In practice, this applies to USDv in Avici, where users remain in control of their funds:
Users can opt in (where available and eligible).
Yield is distributed automatically on a regular schedule based on the user’s USDv balance.
Earnings are visible in-app, and the USDv balance can increment over time.
The intent is to keep the normal Avici spend flow intact, so users don’t have to “exit earning mode” to use their money.
Availability
Availability, eligibility, supported regions, and applicable terms will be shared by Avici as the integration becomes available. Participation is expected to be optional, and any yield rate (if offered) may vary and be subject to product terms and eligibility requirements.
